I think my water monitor has ri?

he is a baby he is not that fat he ate 6 crickets for me but he croaks and lays under water with his eyes closed and when i pick him up he acts awake but his eyes are closed they will eventually open though. this is my first monitor although i am highly experienced with snakes id like an awnser on the signs of ri and how to treat it. thanks
