Was I wrong for getting a homosexual fired?

I recently returned from a cruise and while onboard had the misfortune of attending a show. The show had a panel of 3 ship employees giving their definition of a certain word and the audience was asked to cheer for the one they considered to be the liar. One of the employees was admittedly homosexual and began to "enlighten" us with descriptions of homosexual activities and his fascination with "wood". I immediately addressed this situation with the cruise director and the situation was stopped. Just this morning I was advised that the party in question had been terminated. Was this wrong? Would any who do NOT hold my faith in Christ or who do NOT oppose homosexuality have found anything offensive about me making similar comments to my admiration for my wife? Would I have not been deserving of the same thing? Thanks. God Bless
